Around the same time, a documentary simply titled Amy premiered, charting her successful musical career and, unfortunately, her subsequent downfall due to alcohol and drug abuse. The documentary, which was screened in cinemas all over Europe, was warmly received by the public and will soon be available on DVD and Blu-ray... On this occasion, an accompanying soundtrack containing songs that were also featured in the above documentary, which has become one of the most successful documentaries of all time thanks to its viewership. The twenty-three-track Amy - The Original Soundtrack will offer many of the rarities or never-before-released material from Amy Winehouse that fans have been craving for... These are mainly alternate or demo versions of more or less well-known songs (e.g. Some Unholy War, Like Smoke, Back To Black) or rare live recordings (e.g. Rehab from the Jools Holland show, Love Is A Losing Game recorded at the Mercury Awards or Rehab recorded at the BBC studios). These musical gems are interspersed on the soundtrack with instrumental recordings created for the Amy documentary by acclaimed Brazilian film composer Antonio Pinto...The Amy soundtrack is not only an extraordinary collection celebrating the singer's unique voice, but also a sensitive remembrance of a fragile woman who, like so many artists, was unable to control her immense popularity and succumbed to her demons.
