A new level of Angel Olsen Four years ago, Angel Olsen debuted with the album "Half Way Home". Since then, the American alternative and indie rock singer has continued to evolve. This also applies to her new, now third studio album "My Woman". One of the reasons for the change on the new album was the purchase of a new piano. Olsen bought it after her last tour. For "My Woman" she composed many songs on the instrument, but later replaced the piano recordings with recordings on synthesizer and/or mellotron. As a result, her new album is even more electronic and less acoustic than its predecessors - a trend that was already evident on "Burn Your Fire For No Witness" (2014). Beyond that, "My Woman" oscillates somewhere between early rock'n'roll, country, folk and synth-pop - an interesting mix, but still less of a genre blend and more of a very distinctive style. Angel Olsen has already revealed what her two advance singles "Intern" and "Shut Up Kiss Me" sound like. The singer worked with producer Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Santigold) at Vox studios to record "My Woman". She recorded ten songs live. With Angel Olsen you never get bored: her new album "My Woman" shows that her musical development has reached a new level again.
