Curtom

US Soul and Disco label. Curtom was created by Curtis Mayfield & Eddie Thomas. A Chicago-based label that was one of the leading lights in the development of Soul Music throughout the 1970's. Initially distributed by Buddah Records for the 8000 & 8600 series (Yellow label, "We're A Winner" text & Buddah's 'Shiva' logo). The label then moved to Warner with the 5000 series (Yellow label, Warner text). RSO then distributed for a period, with artists also appearing on Capitol Records & Boardwalk Records.
