90s Alternative Rock Band Fronted by Courtney Love

Hole was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989. The group was founded by singer and guitarist Courtney Love and lead guitarist Eric Erlandson. Hole gained considerable recognition in the early 1990s with their unflinching lyrics and Love's confrontational stage presence. Their second album, "Live Through This," released in 1994, received widespread critical acclaim and commercial success; it is often considered one of the greatest albums of the decade. Following the success of "Live Through This," Hole released "Celebrity Skin" in 1998, which marked a departure from their earlier punk influences towards a more polished, power-pop sound. This album also garnered significant attention and yielded the band's most commercially successful single, the title track "Celebrity Skin."
