Emo Rock Band

Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Originally known as A Day in the Life, the band changed its name to Hawthorne Heights before releasing their first album. They gained nationwide popularity with their 2004 debut album, "The Silence in Black and White," which was released under Victory Records. The album's success was bolstered by the hit single "Ohio Is for Lovers," which became an anthem for the emo and post-hardcore scene of the mid-2000s. Following their initial success, Hawthorne Heights released several more albums, including "If Only You Were Lonely" in 2006 and "Fragile Future" in 2008.
