The Pro-Ject E1 PHONO is a turntable from the new E series that aims to deliver true hi-fi sound at a surprisingly low price. The manufacturing process and choice of materials result in a sleek, stylish design and rich, vibrant sound. All without the compromises common in such a low price range. The installation of the turntable is very simple and intuitive. The arm is fitted with a transfer tube and already has a preset pressure. So you just need to fit the strap, platter, dust cover and connect the turntable to the amplifier. Thanks to the built-in phono preamplifier (MM) which is switchable, it is possible to the turntable can be connected either directly to a line-level input or select a phono-level input (preamplifier). The system is thus ready for playback within minutes.

The E1 PHONO turntable is fitted with a moulded plastic platter and is driven by a belt drive and DC motor with damping. In this price range, the electronic speed switching is also a pleasure. Simply flip the three-position switch on the side to the desired position for 33 or 45 rpm.Three damped bases ensure effective shielding from unwanted vibrations and, of course, a removable dust cover.

Thanks to the chosen drive solution, the E1 PHONO is able to ensure a smooth and stable rotation of the platter, necessary for the precise guidance of the arm and the tip of the transmission in the groove.The E1 PHONO's new straight turntable arm is based on proven Pro-Ject solutions. Effective length of 8.6", aluminium construction, newly developed headshell and excellent bearing with minimal friction are important aspects for correct tracking accuracy.The E1 PHONO turntable comes with a pre-installed Ortofon OM5e MM cartridge with elliptical diamond tip, which ensures a vivid and accurate sound.

Included with the E1 PHONO is a detachable, low capacitance shielded phono cable with RCA termination. There is also a dust cover and felt platter pad for added protection of your phono records.
