The group consists of members who are also involved in other bands within the heavy music scene, such as Oathbreaker and Amenra, which are part of the Church of Ra collective. Wiegedood quickly gained attention within the black metal community for their intense and atmospheric sound. Their music is characterized by a blend of raw aggression and emotional depth, often incorporating ambient and post-metal elements.
