Threat Signal is a Canadian metal band formed in Hamilton, Ontario in 2003. The band is known for its blend of melodic death metal and metalcore, often categorized as melodic metalcore. They gained initial attention through an online demo of the song "Rational Eyes," which helped them secure a record deal with Nuclear Blast Records. Threat Signal released their debut album "Under Reprisal" in 2006, which was followed by "Vigilance" in 2009. The band's lineup has seen several changes over the years, with founding member and vocalist Jon Howard being the consistent figure throughout their career. Threat Signal's music is characterized by aggressive riffs, intricate guitar work, and Howard's versatile vocal style that ranges from harsh screams to clean singing.
