Psychedelic Rock Band from the 1960s

The Tangerine Zoo was a psychedelic rock band that emerged from the late 1960s music scene. Hailing from Swansea, Massachusetts, the group was part of the burgeoning East Coast psychedelic movement. They released their self-titled debut album, "The Tangerine Zoo," in 1968, which showcased their blend of heavy, fuzz-laden guitar work and swirling organ riffs, characteristic of the era's psychedelic sound. The band followed up with their second album, "Outside Looking In," also in 1968, further cementing their place in the psychedelic rock genre. Despite their initial promise and the quality of their music, The Tangerine Zoo did not achieve significant commercial success and remained more of a cult favorite among aficionados of the genre. Their career was relatively short-lived, and they disbanded not long after their second release.
