The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

British Symphony Orchestra

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is one of the world's leading symphony orchestras, with a prestigious history and a reputation for excellence. Founded in 1946 by Sir Thomas Beecham, the RPO has played under the baton of many of the great conductors and has become known for its versatile programming, which ranges from the core classical repertoire to contemporary compositions and collaborations with artists from various musical genres. The orchestra has made numerous recordings throughout its career, including soundtracks for films and crossover projects. One notable collaboration was with the estate of Elvis Presley, resulting in albums that fuse Elvis's vocal performances with new orchestral arrangements by the RPO. These albums include "If I Can Dream" (2015) and "The Wonder of You" (2016), both of which received critical acclaim and commercial success. Additionally, they released "Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" (2017), which featured classic Christmas songs by Elvis Presley set to rich orchestral accompaniment. The RPO continues to maintain a busy schedule of concerts, recordings, and educational outreach programs.
