The Darkness is a British rock band that gained prominence in the early 2000s with their flamboyant and nostalgic glam rock style. Formed in Lowestoft, Suffolk, in 2000, the group consists of Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass, backing vocals), and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums). They first achieved mainstream success with their debut album "Permission to Land" in 2003, which included the hit single "I Believe in a Thing Called Love."
