The Colorist

The Colorist is a unique ensemble that collaborates with various artists to reinterpret their music with a new and distinctive sound. The group consists of Belgian musicians who use classical instruments as well as some they design and build themselves. They are known for their innovative approach to music, which involves creating new arrangements for the songs of the artists they work with. One of their notable collaborations was with Icelandic singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini, resulting in the album "The Colorist & Emiliana Torrini," released in 2016. This project showcased a reimagining of Torrini's work, blending her distinctive voice with The Colorist's orchestral arrangements, giving her songs a fresh perspective and new life. The collaboration was well-received for its creativity and the seamless fusion of the ensemble's sound with Torrini's music.
