The Bryan Ferry Orchestra is a retro-jazz ensemble formed by English singer and musician Bryan Ferry, widely known as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the art rock band Roxy Music. The orchestra was established to explore and reinterpret Ferry's work with Roxy Music, as well as his solo hits, in a 1920s jazz style. The project debuted with the album "The Jazz Age" in 2012, which was a purely instrumental collection featuring classic tracks reimagined in the style of the 1920s without any vocals. This stylistic choice was a departure from Ferry's usual art rock and pop sound, showcasing his versatility and appreciation for the jazz genre. The Bryan Ferry Orchestra's work has been noted for its authentic period arrangements and has contributed to a renewed interest in vintage jazz sounds among contemporary audiences.
