Tangier

Tangier was an American rock band that formed in the late 1980s in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were known for their bluesy hard rock sound, which was somewhat reminiscent of bands like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin. The group's lineup included vocalist Mike LeCompt, guitarist Doug Gordon, bassist Gari Saint, and drummer Bobby Bender. Tangier released their debut album "Four Winds" in 1989 under the Atco label. The album featured a mix of hard rock and ballads, with the single "On the Line" gaining some attention on rock radio stations at the time. Despite not achieving major mainstream success, Tangier earned a dedicated fan base and toured with notable acts of the era. Their career spanned a few albums before they eventually disbanded in the early 1990s.
