Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992. The band was founded by Corey Taylor, who is also the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Slipknot, and drummer Joel Ekman. Stone Sour's music can be described as a fusion of alternative metal and hard rock. The band's name originates from a cocktail menu at a local bar. Their self-titled debut album, "Stone Sour," was released in 2002 and spawned the hit single "Bother," which featured on the soundtrack for the film "Spider-Man." Following their debut, Stone Sour released "Come What(ever) May" in 2006, which contained tracks like "Through Glass," achieving commercial success and further establishing the band's presence in the rock scene.
