French punk rock band

Stinky Toys was a French punk rock band that emerged in the mid-1970s. They were one of the first punk bands in France, and they gained some recognition for their participation in the 100 Club Punk Festival in London in 1976, which was a seminal event in the punk movement. The band was formed by singer Elli Medeiros and guitarist Jacno, and they released their self-titled debut album "Stinky Toys" in 1977. Despite their pioneering role in the French punk scene, Stinky Toys did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded in the early 1980s. After the breakup of Stinky Toys, both Medeiros and Jacno went on to have successful careers in music, with Jacno becoming an influential figure in French pop music before his death in 2009. Elli Medeiros enjoyed success as a solo artist and actress.
