Experimental Rock Project

SQÜRL is an American rock band formed by filmmaker Jim Jarmusch and producer Carter Logan. The band's music is known for its experimental and drone-heavy sound, often incorporating elements of noise, ambient, and minimalist music. Jim Jarmusch, primarily celebrated as an auteur director with films like "Broken Flowers" and "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai," has long had a deep interest in music, which is evident in the soundtracks of his films. SQÜRL was initially conceived in 2009 to create the score for Jarmusch's film "The Limits of Control," but the project evolved into a full-fledged band.
