Glam Rock Band Associated with David Bowie

The Spiders from Mars were a British rock band associated most famously with David Bowie during the early 1970s. They were Bowie's backing band during his Ziggy Stardust era and are featured on the concept album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars," released in 1972. The band consisted of Mick Ronson on guitar, Trevor Bolder on bass, and Mick Woodmansey on drums. They played a significant role in shaping the sound and aesthetic of Bowie's glam rock phase. After their work with Bowie, the members went on to pursue various projects, with Ronson enjoying a successful career as a session musician and producer before his untimely death in 1993. The Spiders from Mars as a separate entity released an eponymous album in 1976 without Bowie, but it did not achieve the same level of success as their work with him.
