80s American Glam Metal Band

SouthGang was an American glam metal band that emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band was originally formed in Rome, Georgia, and was initially known as Byte before changing their name to SouthGang. They were part of the wave of glam metal acts that gained popularity during that era, characterized by their flashy image and catchy rock anthems. SouthGang released their debut album "Tainted Angel" in 1991, which featured a blend of hard rock and melodic hooks. The band followed up with their second album "Group Therapy" in 1992. Despite their efforts, SouthGang did not achieve the level of commercial success enjoyed by some of their contemporaries and disbanded in the mid-1990s as musical tastes shifted away from glam metal towards grunge and alternative rock. Members of SouthGang later went on to form other projects and bands, continuing their musical careers beyond the lifespan of the group.
