Soilent Green is an American band that was formed in 1988 in Metairie, Louisiana. The band is known for its unique blend of sludge metal, grindcore, and death metal, with influences from various other genres such as blues and southern rock. Throughout their career, Soilent Green has been recognized for their intense live performances and complex song structures. They have experienced several lineup changes over the years, with vocalist Ben Falgoust and guitarist Brian Patton being key members for much of the band's history. Soilent Green has released a number of albums, including "Confrontation" in 2005 and "Inevitable Collapse In The Presence Of Conviction" in 2008.
