Roxy Blue was a hard rock band that emerged from the vibrant Memphis music scene in the early 1990s. They were part of the wave of glam metal and hard rock acts that gained popularity during that era. The band was signed to Geffen Records and released their debut album "Want Some?" in 1992, which featured a blend of high-energy rock tracks with a melodic edge, typical of the period's hair metal style. Despite the shifting musical landscape due to the grunge movement, Roxy Blue aimed to make their mark with catchy hooks and an energetic stage presence. The group disbanded not long after their debut release, as the genre they were associated with began to wane in popularity. However, they experienced a resurgence of interest years later and reunited, releasing a self-titled album "Roxy Blue" in 2019, showcasing a more mature sound while still paying homage to their hard rock roots.
