Ripped To Shreds is a death metal band that was formed by Andrew Lee in San Jose, California. The project began as a solo endeavor, with Lee handling all instruments and vocals, but it has since expanded to include additional members for live performances. The band's music is heavily influenced by old-school death metal, but it also incorporates elements of East Asian history and culture. Ripped To Shreds released their debut album "埋葬" (Máizàng) in 2018, which received positive attention within the underground metal community for its raw sound and incorporation of traditional Asian motifs. Following the success of their debut, they released an EP titled "魔經 - Demon Scriptures" in 2019 and a second full-length album "亂" (Luan) in 2020. The band has been recognized for its unique blend of brutal riffs and cultural storytelling, carving out a distinct niche within the genre.
