Experimental Rock Supergroup

Rangda is an American experimental rock band known for its improvisational and avant-garde music. The group was formed in 2008 and consists of three highly regarded figures in the underground music scene: guitarist Sir Richard Bishop, formerly of the Sun City Girls; guitarist Ben Chasny, known for his work with Six Organs of Admittance; and drummer Chris Corsano, who has collaborated with a wide range of artists across various genres. Rangda's sound is characterized by a blend of psychedelic rock, free jazz, and a variety of global musical influences. They have released several albums that showcase their unique style, including "False Flag" (2010), "Formerly Extinct" (2012), and "The Heretic's Bargain" (2016). Their work is often marked by intense guitar interplay and dynamic shifts in tempo and mood, earning them critical acclaim within experimental music circles.
