The Prague Madrigal Singers, also known as the Prague Madrigalists, is a renowned Czech vocal ensemble that specializes in the performance of early music, including Renaissance and Baroque compositions. Founded in 1956 by the distinguished Czech conductor and musicologist Miroslav Venhoda, the group quickly gained international acclaim for their authentic interpretations and scholarly approach to music from the 14th to 17th centuries. The ensemble's repertoire spans a wide range of vocal music, from Gregorian chant to secular madrigals and motets, often performed a cappella or with period instruments.
