Pailhead

Industrial Rock Collaboration

Pailhead was a short-lived side project that combined the talents of Ian MacKaye, frontman of the hardcore punk band Minor Threat and later Fugazi, with industrial musician and Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen. The collaboration resulted in a fusion of punk and industrial sounds. Pailhead released a handful of tracks in the late 1980s, including an EP titled "Trait" in 1988. The project was notable for bringing together artists from two very different musical backgrounds, showcasing MacKaye's distinctive vocal style against a backdrop of Jourgensen's industrial production. Despite the brief nature of their collaboration, Pailhead has been remembered for its unique contribution to the alternative music scene of the time.
