Mysticalgate

MYSTICALGATE is a group from Voronezh (Russia). Group was founded in 1992 as AGGRESSION (Aggression (9)) with line-up: Sergey «PRIEST» - Guitars, Vocals, Alex – bass, Den «D.V.B.» – drums. This line-up has recorded two albums. - In November 1992 demo album «Hell’em All» of 9 death metal tracks was recorded in Machine Studio (Voronezh) and group became quite popular between Russian underground. - In January 1994 group has recorded second album - «S.A.T.C.L» (Sexual Attraction To Corporal Lips) - in Other Side Studio (Voronezh). This album includes 5 death metal songs + intro and outro of 45 min of total time (released as MC by Funeral Pyre Productions, 1995). This work has stabilized status of the group and has brought some favorable reviews in press. Some part of copies was sold in Russia and abroad. … After Alexander Sharp (keyboards) arrival in 1995 the name was changed to MYSTICALGATE. Third album «In Sadness Gloom» (intro + 7 doom death songs) was recorded in NMLK Studio (Lipetsk) in June-August 1996. … During recording «In Sadness Gloom» group has got in touch with label Undead Wood production. But material wasn’t released because of closing of the label. On account of different external and intrinsic causes after failure of «In Sadness Gloom» release group has loosed their activity for a long time. In the beginning of 2004 label Stygian Crypt has got in touch with MYSTICALGATE with a suggestion to issue CD with material of «In Sadness Gloom». Contract was signed and in October 2004 album has brought out. MYSTICALGATE «In Sadness Gloom» … It was an incentive for renewal of active studio and concert activity of the group. In 2005 the group reunited in the line-up: Sergey PRIEST - guitars, vocals; Den D.V.B. – drums; Alexander Sharp – bass, keyboards; Max MX- guitars The result was an album «Out of Control», written down during 2007 and mix/mastered in July 2008 in MYSTIKAH Studios (Voronezh). MYSTICALGATE defines its style as «mystic pressure ( Progressive - Death Metal )». For the release of «Out of Control» was contracted Casket Music. March 23, 2009 the album was released worldwide. It received good reviews from listeners and critics. Meanwhile in the summer of 2009 collaboration with Max MX was terminated.
