Mudvayne is an American heavy metal band formed in Peoria, Illinois, in 1996. The band's lineup consists of lead vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie, and drummer Matthew McDonough. They are known for their energetic live shows, complex bass lines, and the use of makeup and costumes in their early years. Mudvayne rose to fame with their debut studio album "L.D. 50" (2000), which was praised for its technical proficiency and innovative approach to the nu metal genre. The album spawned several singles, including "Dig," which won the MTV2 Award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2001.
