Rock Supergroup

Motor Sister is a rock supergroup formed in 2014, featuring a lineup of seasoned musicians from various established acts. The band includes Mother Superior frontman Jim Wilson on guitar and vocals, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Pearl Aday (Scott Ian's wife) on backing vocals, Joey Vera of Armored Saint on bass, and John Tempesta, known for his work with The Cult and White Zombie, on drums. Motor Sister was born out of Scott Ian's love for the music of Mother Superior; he organized a jam session as a birthday celebration, which led to the formation of the group. They initially focused on reimagining and performing Mother Superior songs but eventually began writing original material. Their debut album "Ride" was released in 2015 through Metal Blade Records and received positive reviews for its energetic rock sound that harkens back to classic rock and roll. The band's chemistry and collective experience have made them a notable act within the rock genre, appreciated for their spirited live performances and dedication to the roots of rock music.
