Mondo Generator

Mondo Generator

Desert Rock Supergroup

Mondo Generator is an American rock band founded in 1997 by Nick Oliveri, who is best known for his work with the influential stoner rock band Queens of the Stone Age. The band's style blends elements of punk rock, heavy metal, and alternative rock. Mondo Generator's debut album, "Cocaine Rodeo," was released in 2000 and featured contributions from Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) and Brant Bjork (Kyuss). The project initially began as a side venture for Oliveri but eventually evolved into a full-fledged band with a rotating lineup of musicians. Over the years, Mondo Generator has released several albums, including "Dead Planet: SonicSlowMotionTrails" in 2006, which showcased their aggressive sound and raw energy. The band has experienced various hiatuses and lineup changes throughout its career but remains known for its intense live performances and Oliveri's distinctive vocal style.
