McGuinn, Clark & Hillman

McGuinn, Clark & Hillman

70s Folk-Rock Supergroup

McGuinn, Clark & Hillman was a musical trio formed by three former members of the influential folk-rock band The Byrds. The group consisted of Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and Chris Hillman. After The Byrds disbanded, each member pursued solo careers or participated in other musical projects before coming together to form this trio in the late 1970s. Their self-titled debut album "McGuinn, Clark & Hillman," released in 1979, showcased a blend of rock, pop, and country influences and included the single "Don't You Write Her Off," which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite their previous success with The Byrds, McGuinn, Clark & Hillman as a group did not achieve the same level of commercial success. They released a follow-up album titled "City" (sometimes referred to as "McGuinn, Clark & Hillman: City") in 1980 before eventually disbanding. Their collaboration was marked by the members' strong individual talents and their shared history in shaping the sound of folk-rock music during their time with The Byrds.
