Marc Andreae is a Swiss conductor known for his work with various orchestras and his interpretations of both classical and romantic repertoire. Born on October 10, 1939, in Lugano, Switzerland, he comes from a family with a rich musical heritage; his grandfather was the composer Mario Andreae. Marc Andreae has served as the chief conductor of the Graz Symphony Orchestra and has also worked extensively with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. Throughout his career, he has conducted numerous orchestras across Europe and recorded a variety of works, including pieces by lesser-known composers. His discography includes recordings of works by composers such as Gian Francesco Malipiero and Frank Martin.
