Lou Bega is a German musician of Italian and Ugandan descent, best known for his 1999 hit "Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of...)". This catchy song, which sampled Pérez Prado's original mambo music, was an international success, reaching the top of the charts in many countries around the world. Born David Lubega on April 13, 1975, in Munich, Germany, he infused his music with a blend of Latin rhythms and modern dance beats, which became his signature style. Following the success of "Mambo No. 5", Lou Bega capitalized on the late 1990s Latin pop explosion and released his debut album "A Little Bit of Mambo", which was a commercial success.
