Kourosh Yaghmaei is an Iranian musician and songwriter, often hailed as a pioneer of rock music in Iran. Born on December 3, 1946, in Tehran, he is known for his unique blend of traditional Persian music with Western rock and roll influences. During the 1970s, Yaghmaei gained popularity with his innovative sound, which was groundbreaking in the Iranian music scene at the time. His career was temporarily halted due to the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which led to strict regulations on the type of music allowed to be performed and distributed in the country.
