Jeremy Dutcher is a classically trained Canadian tenor, composer, musicologist, and member of the Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick. He gained widespread recognition for his album "Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa," released in 2018. This groundbreaking album features post-classical arrangements of traditional Wolastoq songs, which Dutcher reinterpreted after conducting extensive archival research. His work on this album earned him the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2018, an award given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit.
