British Jazz Ensemble with a Heavy Metal Twist

Jazz Sabbath is a jazz trio formed by pianist and composer Adam Wakeman. The project reimagines the music of the iconic heavy metal band Black Sabbath as jazz compositions. Adam Wakeman, who is the son of Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman, has had a prolific career in music, working with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Jazz Sabbath's self-titled debut album was released on April 10, 2020, and it features instrumental jazz renditions of classic Black Sabbath songs. The album received attention for its unique concept and the musicians' ability to transform heavy metal into a different genre while maintaining the essence of the original compositions. The project showcases Wakeman's versatility as a musician and his ability to bridge the gap between rock and jazz.
