Jazz Funk Soul is a contemporary jazz supergroup formed by three of the genre's most celebrated musicians: keyboardist Jeff Lorber, guitarist Chuck Loeb, and saxophonist Everette Harp. The trio came together to blend their individual talents and create a sound that fuses elements of jazz, funk, and soul, hence their straightforward band name. Jeff Lorber is known for his pioneering work in the jazz fusion movement, with a career that spans over four decades and includes multiple Grammy nominations. Chuck Loeb was a respected guitarist and composer who played with a variety of artists and released numerous solo albums before his untimely passing in 2017. Everette Harp has established himself as a smooth jazz saxophonist with an expressive style and has worked with an array of artists across genres. Together as Jazz Funk Soul, they have produced music that resonates with fans of smooth and contemporary jazz.
