Jakuzi is a Turkish band known for their unique blend of synth-pop and new wave with a distinctly Turkish twist, often described as part of the dark wave genre. The band was formed in Istanbul by frontman Kutay Soyocak and multi-instrumentalist Taner Yücel. They gained recognition with their debut album "Fantezi Müzik," released in 2017. This album marked a significant moment in the Turkish independent music scene, as it diverged from the mainstream and introduced a fresh, melancholic sound that resonated with a wide audience. Following the success of their first album, Jakuzi continued to build their reputation both locally and internationally. Their follow-up album "Hata Payı," which translates to "Margin of Error," was released in 2019, further cementing their place in the music scene with its introspective lyrics and 80s-inspired synth sounds.
