Hookworms were a British psychedelic/noise rock band formed in Leeds, England, in the late 2000s. The group was known for their energetic live performances and a sound that incorporated elements of psychedelia, punk, and electronic music. They released their debut album "Pearl Mystic" in 2013 to critical acclaim, which helped establish them within the UK independent music scene. This was followed by "The Hum" in 2014, continuing their exploration of textured soundscapes and intense dynamics. Their third and final studio album, "Microshift," was released in 2018 and marked a shift towards a more electronic and pop-influenced sound.
