Giraffe Tongue Orchestra is a supergroup formed in 2011, comprising members from various well-established rock bands. The lineup includes guitarist Brent Hinds from Mastodon, guitarist Ben Weinman from The Dillinger Escape Plan, drummer Thomas Pridgen from The Mars Volta, bassist Pete Griffin of Dethklok and Zappa Plays Zappa, and vocalist William DuVall from Alice in Chains. The band's sound is a fusion of the members' diverse backgrounds, resulting in a blend of progressive rock, alternative metal, and experimental music. They released their debut album "Broken Lines" in 2016 to positive reviews, showcasing their ability to combine complex musicianship with accessible melodies. Despite the members' commitments to their primary bands, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra has managed to carve out its own niche within the rock and metal community.
