Romanian a composer, arranger, teacher and publisher ☆ November 11, 1929, Lugoj, România ✞ April 13, 1991, Mainz, Germany 1948–1954 graduated Music Academy in Bucharest, where studied composition with Paul Constantinescu, Marțian Negrea, Theodor Rogalski and Leon Klepper . 1954 – hired as editor of “Muzica” shop in Bucharest and part of the Romanian Composers' Association. 1958 – excluded from Composers' Association 1962 – emigrated in Austria after being barred from pursuing his work and excluded from membership in the Composers' Association In Austria where he worked as an editor at Universal Edition in Vienna, later he moved to Mainz, Germany 1966–1991 editor of contemporary music at Schott Music Publishing 1980–1982 lecturer in music theory at the University of Mainz 1984–1991 head of a composition class at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz Was married with Agathe Wanek (pianist, piano teacher)
