British pop and R&B group

Five Star, also known as 5 Star, is a British pop and R&B group formed in 1983. The band consists of siblings Stedman, Lorraine, Denise, Doris and Delroy Pearson. They achieved a great deal of success in the mid-1980s with a series of hits and are known for their dynamic choreography and flamboyant fashion style. Five Star was particularly prominent in the UK, where they scored several Top 40 hits on the UK Singles Chart. Their 1986 album "Silk & Steel" reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawned a series of top ten singles. The group's music is characterized by a polished pop sound that incorporates elements of R&B and dance music. Despite changes in popularity over the years, Five Star has continued to perform and release music, maintaining a dedicated fan base.
