Fire in Little Africa is a collective of hip-hop artists, musicians, and creatives from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who came together to commemorate the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre's centennial. The project was created to highlight the rich history of the Greenwood District, often referred to as Black Wall Street, and to use music as a medium to educate and promote social justice. The collective's self-titled album "Fire in Little Africa" was released in 2021 and features a variety of artists who contribute their talents to tell the story of Greenwood's legacy and resilience. The album serves not only as a tribute but also as a platform for contemporary voices in the region to address systemic issues and advocate for change through their art. The project has been praised for its historical significance and its role in amplifying the voices of Black artists in Oklahoma.
