Dead Infection was a Polish goregrind band that was formed in 1990. The band is recognized as one of the earliest groups in the genre, contributing significantly to the development of goregrind with their intense, gruesome sound and explicit lyrics. They released several albums throughout their career, with "Surgical Disembowelment" (1993) and "A Chapter Of Accidents" (1995) being among their most notable works. These albums are particularly revered in the underground extreme music scene for their brutal approach and have influenced many bands within the grindcore and goregrind scenes. Dead Infection's music is characterized by its fast tempos, heavily distorted guitars, guttural vocals, and graphic themes often centered around medical procedures and pathological phenomena. The band enjoyed a cult following and toured extensively, participating in festivals and concerts dedicated to extreme music until they disbanded.
