Dan Mangan is a Canadian indie folk-rock singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. His music career began to gain significant traction with the release of his second album, "Nice, Nice, Very Nice" in 2009, which earned him critical acclaim and a Polaris Music Prize shortlist nomination. Mangan's third album, "Oh Fortune," released in 2011, marked a departure from his primarily acoustic sound towards a more expansive and orchestral approach. This album further solidified his reputation in the indie music scene and garnered him two Juno Awards in 2012 for New Artist of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year.
