Daemonarch

Portuguese dark metal band

Daemonarch was a side project formed by members of the Portuguese gothic metal band Moonspell. The band was created in the late 1990s and released only one album, "Hermeticum," in 1998. Daemonarch's music was characterized by a darker, more occult-oriented approach than Moonspell's typical style at the time. The project featured Fernando Ribeiro, Moonspell's lead vocalist, using the pseudonym Langsuyar for his work with Daemonarch. The album "Hermeticum" delved into themes of hermeticism and esoteric knowledge, which were reflected in both the lyrics and the overall atmosphere of the music. Despite its singular release, Daemonarch is remembered for its unique contribution to the metal genre and its exploration of mystical and arcane subject matter. After "Hermeticum," the members continued to focus on their work with Moonspell, which remained their primary musical endeavor. Daemonarch did not produce further albums and is considered a one-off project in the careers of its members.
