Daedalus is an experimental progressive band from Genoa, Italy. In our music we try to combine a complex harmonic texture, elaborate rhythmic elements and clear melodic lines, melting and alternating different atmospheres in a gradual or sudden way, trying to create an overwhelming and fascinating musical journey while keeping the structure of the songs rather simple. Each member of the band contributed to define our style, adding original ideas to elements derived from classical music, jazz, rock and metal. We’ve been playing for several years in live performances, gaining a very good response from the audience. In October 2003 we signed a contract with New LM Records label and we published our first CD “Leading far from a mistake”. By now we are composing the songs for our second album and we are searching for a label to publish and promote it.
