Civil War

Civil War is a Swedish power metal band that was formed in 2012 by former members of Sabaton, including guitarists Rikard Sundén and Oskar Montelius, drummer Daniel Mullback, and keyboardist Daniel Mÿhr, alongside bassist Stefan "Pizza" Eriksson and vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson from Astral Doors. The band's music is characterized by heavy use of keyboards and powerful vocals, often with historical and war-related lyrical themes. They released their debut EP, "Civil War," in 2012, followed by their first full-length album "The Killer Angels" in 2013. This album was well-received within the power metal community and set the stage for their subsequent albums. Civil War continued to build on their success with the release of "Gods And Generals" in 2015 and "The Last Full Measure" in 2016. These albums further cemented the band's reputation for creating epic, anthemic metal with a strong narrative element. Despite changes in their lineup over the years, Civil War has maintained a dedicated fan base within the power metal scene.
