Champion was a straight edge hardcore punk band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1999. The band was known for their energetic performances and commitment to the straight edge lifestyle, which promotes abstaining from alcohol, tobacco, and other recreational drugs. Champion released a number of recordings that were well-received within the hardcore community, including their full-length albums "Promises Kept" in 2004 and "Time Slips Away" in 2005. They toured extensively across the United States and internationally, building a strong following before disbanding in 2006. Their final show was documented in the release "Different Directions: The Last Show," which captured the energy and emotion of Champion's farewell performance. The band's influence persisted in the hardcore scene even after their breakup, with members going on to participate in other musical projects.
