Portuguese Symphonic Death Metal Project

Caedeous is a symphonic black / extreme metal project from composer and instrumentalist Paulo J. Mendes with several invited session vocalists. In 2017, Caedeous released the first singles and album "Domini Tenebrarum", which also saw the release of an dedicated orchestral counterpart in 2018. "Domini Tenebrarum", was received with several good reviews that ranged from 88% to 97% and elected as one of the top 20 metal albums of the year. On 2019, Paulo J. Mendes started to compose the second album which would later be named "Obscurus Perpetua". On 2021 began the official album recordings with Paulo J. Mendes assuming all musical instruments (Guitars, Bass, Piano, Drums) and D.M. (Helioss & Celestial Swarm) joined as main male vocalist and Josephine and female vocalist. The first single from "Obscurus Perpetua" titled "Tales of the Dark Prince" will be released on the 31th October 2021 and the album with a already scheduled release date of 22nd March 2022. "Obscurus Perpetua" will be a new stepstone for Caedeous project that embraces a new sound and project philosophy marking a new era moving forward.
