Benoit Haller

Benoit Haller

French Choral Conductor and Baroque Specialist

Benoit Haller is a French conductor and the founder of the chamber choir La Chapelle Rhénane, which specializes in Baroque music. He has gained recognition for his interpretations of early music, particularly works from the 17th and 18th centuries. Haller's career has been marked by his dedication to historically informed performance practices, which aim to recreate the sound and style of music as it was originally intended by the composers of the time. Under his direction, La Chapelle Rhénane has performed a wide range of repertoire, including pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Schütz, and Dietrich Buxtehude. The ensemble's performances and recordings have been well-received for their clarity, expressiveness, and adherence to Baroque performance traditions.
